Hellenic Republic
A highlight of our recent trip to Melbourne was our visit to George Calombaris’ Hellenic Republic for lunch on Father’s Day. Not knowing much about Greek Cuisine we ordered Trapezi – a four course meal to be shared by the whole table. Mezethakia – Small Tastes Taramosalata, P...

Birthday Gift
Yesterday we had friends and family over for drinks and meze for my birthday. One of the beautiful gifts I received was this Chinese Chop set from my Brother-in-law and his partner. The chop is the Chinese character for Long Life.

Mushrooms or Toadstools?
I’ve been having fun exploring and improving my photography skills this year. This week while I was at the shire offices I noticed mushrooms (or are they toadstools?) in the gardens. I thought they would make an interesting subject to practice my skills on.

Is it Morbid?
Last weekend a friend asked me if I wanted to join her for a trip to the local cemetery to take photographs. Any excuse to take photos, I packed up my camera gear and was waiting for her to arrive. I have lived in Esperance for over 3 years and this was the first time [...]

St Werbergh’s Chapel – Mt Barker
We spent the Easter weekend camping in the Porongorups with friends, one of the highlights of the trip – for me at least – was the visit to St Webergh’s Chapel in Mt Barker. The Chapel was built by George Egerton-Warburton in 1873. Regular services are still held in the Chapel, by...

I know that it has been some time since I posted to my blog – it has been a busy year – but I hadn’t realised that it had been so long. So to finish the year I thought I would share some of my photos that I have taken in the last couple of [...]

A Journaling Gift
A while ago my cousin asked me if I would make her a journal – she has never kept a journal before – but inspired by my posts she asked me to make her a journal. What better way to share the gift of journaling. What sort of journal do you create for a first [...]
