This is my 200th postand my blog is a year old this month. It's been such a fun ride so far.I've learned so much, met some amazing peopleand had the best time venting and expressing.I am working on a offshoot of this blogso look for that coming soon! For now, I thought it might be fun to do a feature post about myself, for those who are new or just want to know more about me.~Job Title: I used to call myself a Freelance Writer, but I recently heard the term Independent Writer.I fell in lo

{Cute movie. Both of them.}~The last few weeks have been fullof Navy life... all kinds of events. And I've found myself saying"When we joined the squadron,""When we leave the squadron,"or "Our tour."You see the problem there, right?I'm not IN the Navy.I wasn't assigned to that squadron.Or was I?I mean I vowed to stay with him through better or worse.(ie. Awesome or Sucky duty stations /Shore duty or Sea duty)And in doing so, I follow him wherever he goesand join the Spouse Club of

California.Completely unaware of the Santa Ana windsthat were about to haul wildfires away...that was until our table umbrella in the front yardflew over our house and landed in the backyard. It was like some freaky Mary Poppins moment.Last night, as I was sitting in my office, I heard a boom and intense scratching. It was Really dark out
Noah, Where are you?
So it's raining here...A LOT.A WHOLE LOT!~And this morning, we lost power. My Hubby was in quite a hurryto get to work.Apparently, my pouring tepid waterinto a coffee filter of grounds over a pot, although appreciated, creates less than Starbucks quality.I told Hubby, rather casually, that everything is shut down in the area, and that they tend to do that around here.Weather Weanies! They don't do that "where we come from."He just laughed..."Like the Navy is going to shut down for rain.
