Thanksgiving Essays
For school today I decided to have the kids write an essay about what they are thankful for. I was pleased with their writings and thought I would share them with you.Hannah's:ThanksgivingThere are many thing to be thankful for in my life. I have gone through many time that I have been very thankful. The first and most important thing that I am thankful for is Jesus dying on the cross for a sinner like me. He paid my debts on calvary. I am also thankful for the freedom in our country to go to church and be able to own God's Word.My family is next in line. god has blessed me with wonderful Christian parents who teach me and

I wanted to post the Thanksgiving Blessings that I got on the past blog post about Thanksgiving. Below is what you said: Tracy said... Give them a try!Baked Apple Donuts3 cups flour1 tsp salt1 Tbsp baking powder1 tsp nutmeg1 cup sugar1/2 cup shortening2 eggs, beaten1 cup milk2 cup finely diced, peeled appleTopping:1/2 cup BUTTER, melted1 cup sugar2 tsp cinnamonMix dry ingredients with fork. Thanksgiving Bunting
I decided (finally) what to send our new Ethiopian Pen Pals. I saw this Thanksgiving Bunting idea in the paper last week and thought that might be something special to make and send across the world to our newest friends. The kids helped me make it with each one taking part in the process. Abeba held and carried the fabric and ribbon through the store and home, Hannah and Eli helped sew the circles, Israel turned them inside out and Mommy sewed it all together. Each of us wrote one or two things on tags that we later attached with ribbon in between each half circle. We left half of the tags empty so that the Baer family could attach what they are thankful for. I was super pleased with
