Thanksgiving was never meant to be shut up in a single day.
As I prepare to make this Thanksgiving meal I will think about the other 364 days this year that I was given more opportunity, chance and life than many others and hopefully that my loved ones and I will continue to be blessed. I will think about how grateful I am Thursday and everyday for those things that many of us take for granted as we get caught up in "life".

The Athens Kangaroo Alliance Duo scored big making Paste Magazine's Top 50 Videos of the Decade for their work with Of Montreal on their video Wraith Pined to the Mist. These guys are some of the sweetest most down to earth people. Lauren designed and produced our save the dates, wedding invitations, stickers and programs, Craig even helped out while she was vacationing. It's hard to find people that are willing to work with you when they could be doing big fancy projects like the ones these guys do. I think that's a special gift to have artistically and personally.Ya

Elsie Lou's Lessons
I've been working with Elsie to teach her to shake and not to lick or jump. I've been doing well by dancing with her and turning my back to her when she jumps. I think it's working. However, I'm still having problems with her licking. She doesn't seem to respond to apple bitters and David thinks it's just plain mean and well, while not harmful it kind of is. I'll be taking any suggestions below.In the video I'm not dancing much in order to keep a steady hand but I was moving a little and she stayed put. It's really cute to watch her little front paws lift up and down one at a time while you dance. She's got th handshake down but is still a little perplexed about what

I have to preface this with saying that Maxwell has been an incredibly important part of my life for the last ten years. He's not very happy about this decision but through the support and advice of friends we have decided to rescue a sprightly, yet low-key pit bull named Elsie. We added the Lou during supper last week with our great friends Mike, Leah, Zac and his girlfriend Amanda. Leah is part of the Athens Canine Rescue Foundation and she was also our Real Estate Agent and amazing friend. Last Wednesday she and her husband Mike snuck Elsie over when they came for some venison/veggie burgers, she's also always a sales lady. We asked if we coul
