Brand new me
It's been 8 days since I've gotten my new hip, and I feel like a brand new person. I can't believe the difference I'm feeling already. Even though I'm on the crutches, I just don't have the pain through the hip or knee like I used to. I don't wake up in agony feeling like I just want to cut the leg off.So guess I'd better fill in from last Tuesday. We were dropping the terrors off to MIL after school. So before we did that, I had to have a lovely shower with some wash stuff from the hospital. Then into clean clothes. Was admitted about 6 pm to the ward. MOTH hang around for an hour or so, then headed home. I headed to the shower for another wash with the wash stuff. Then settled

Time for reflection
Well 5 days out of the operation, and feeling nervous, excited and scared all at the same time. I'm scared that it's not going to work, like I'm hoping too, but excited about the future at the same time. Am trying to keep myself as busy as I physically can at the moment, just to keep my mind off it. Got a busy few days ahead, so that will help.Have lunch for MIL's birthday over the weekend. The last of packing my bag and washing clothes to take. Need to stockpile some books, and sort out what knitting I'm taking in with me, to keep me busy. I've started on a blanket for T2's Christmas present from T1, so will take that to finish. Then might do a set for her baby as well while I'

Proof housework is hazardous to your health!!!
Because I think I might've just broken my toe, getting the frying pan out to cook tea tonight. So have gone on strike now, and refuse to do anything else. A Sore toe is more than enough for me thanks. So luckily for everyone had a dose of nesting today. Cleaned out T2's room, did her wardrobe and drawers, sorted through clothes, up under the bed. The whole lot, got a bag of rubbish from her room alone, and 2 bags of clothes. Then moved onto the toy room, well 2 bags of books and toys to go to the op shop. about 4 of rubbish. But it's all done now. Was planning on doing T1's room tomorrow, but will have to see how the toe's going tomorrow. Think it will

It's been a week.
And there's no excuse really. Have been busy, but not that busy. Have finished one 1500 word assignment, now working on a 2000 word assignment. Need to get a routine together though. Have started getting too much on my plate again, and there's just not enough time to do it all. Am going to keep Touch of Love open for awhile longer. 26 Days to go
And I just want the op done and over with. I just want to be able to start rehab, and get back on my feet again. Getting extremely impatient now, and feel like time is just standing still, and that Oct 28th is never going to come. I know it will, the next few weeks will just drag that's all.All set to go though. Got new pj's today, and a couple of new pair of leggings and t.shirts/singlet tops for the hospital. Got all my toiletries ready to go. Just need to get a pair of simple slip on shoes and slippers. Which do you think I can find. I mean I love the whole beaded glitzy flashy look.
