When we first received Lily's diagnosis I read everything I could get my hands on. I was (and am still) so thankful to have the WORLD WIDE WEB as a resource. The things that I found in books were usually so outdated and the web was a life-line for me...plus I've made a lot of great friends on the web!

Thankful A to Z - *U*
I am thankful to live in the United States. I know this country has its fair share of problems, but we also have freedoms that other people around the world do not have. One thing that I'm most thankful for is freedom of religion. We do not have to worry about being persecuted for our beliefs. I am also thankful for the services that Lily can get in this country. When I see some of the children with Ds in other countries and know that they are about to be shipped off to an institution, my heart breaks.I will continue to pray that the things that are wrong with our country will be righted. God bless the U.S.A.
