Santa Letters Program Scrapped, Reinstated
Scrooge temporarily shut down the United States Postal Service's Santa letters program, preventing children from sending and receiving letters from Santa Claus at the North Pole. Within days, elves, in the form of the volunteer letter writers and Senator Lisa Murkowski, helped the postal service change its decision so the 55-year-program will continue.
