Welcome to ‘Along the Village Green‘ — a blog inspired by the absence of any real, reliable news source for the community of Chepachet and villages of northwestern RI. Over the last few years, without a reliable newspaper, the villages have become hotbeds of rumor and innuendo squelching many opportunities for growth and progress. While I am not so arrogant to believe I alone can solve that problem myself, I do believe the Internet, in the free control of the public, is a powerful and natural tool to begin to address modern communication breakdown. This blog also allows me the opportunity to return to my roots as a columnist, reporter, creative writer and at times — a satirist. This blog will attempt to bring you up-to-date happenings in our area through news posts, commentary, and photos — irreverant or otherwise.
