Often, a post of mine begins as an attempt to figure something out. I think by writing, because then I get stuff written. And it's bloggy. And it helps me keep track of various complicated elements of what I'm trying to think about as I go along. Many posts are easily written, because there's not that much to figure out. But some of the most time-consuming posts are ones where what's figured out is that there's nothing interesting. And this blog is all about interestingness (as judged from my perspective).
