Slager Family Photos
I had the opportunity to shoot the holiday portraits for some dear friends of mine.  The Slagers were our guests from Wisconsin over the holiday weekend.  They asked if I would take their family photo and I was thrilled to accept.  Here are few of the highlights from the shoot.  Enjoy!

Advancements in Digital Cameras
This was shared with me today and I thought it would be a fun share.  This video was shot entirely with a Canon digital SLR (a single lens reflex camera).  To be specific, it was shot with a Canon 5D Mark II, which now also shoots HD video. The topic of the video is the opening meet at Keeneland racetrack in Lexington, KY.  While not as well known outside the racing world as its Kentucky cousin, Churchill Downs (home of the Kentucky Derby), Keeneland is a much more beautiful track by far.  And, its one of the few that is open to th

Roxie The Wonder Horse
November 18, 2009Not only am I the official photographer for Friends of Ferdinand, Inc., I'm also a  foster home.  Roxie is one of my current fosters.  She is a beautiful 16h bay mare that retired from the track in October 2009.  I captured these images of her the other day as she stretched her legs in the outdoor arena.  Yes, she's fuzzy and has an ugly halter on, but sometimes, pictures are just about capturing the joy in the horse.  I hope you enjoy them!

Family Portrait Shoot
Here is a sneak peek of the Nasser family holiday photo shoot.  I know Jan Nasser through horses.  We have ridden together with the same group, the Red Hats & Purple Chaps for a couple years now.  She has also volunteered some time to haul horses for Friends of Ferdinand, Inc.  Along with shooting their holiday card photos this year, I'm also designing custom 5x7 holiday cards for them.  Enjoy!Dollie, their new family member.
