A Mason Jar, Tinker Bell and a Scorpion Named Luke
She spent the summer capturing butterflies and keeping them in a mason jar. Some life preserving soul in the house had the good sense to cut slits in the top and encourage her to place a few zinnias in the jar as well. Thank goodness. Late at night I would creep downstairs and like a Schindler’s List version of Santa Claus I would release the butterflies into the night.

Stacks and Stacks of Catalogs… *sigh*
It seems I have all these wonderful gift ideas float through the fog in my brain and before I can get around to my list they’ve already escaped. Catalogs are coming in by the droves and at the moment there is only one I know for sure I’m ordering out of. The rest I’m doing my very best to be all “FlyLady” about and send out to the trash instead of letting them stack up in piles around my office and nightstand.

Tonight Kate and I will make some Scotch-O-Roos, corpse finger cookies, and a chocolate butterfing
Eventually…
I have drafts left unfinished. I’m overdue for a bit of an update around here. Quite frankly, it’s tough to look at my blog appearing so out of season. I’ll get around to it just like I get around to everything eventually.
Everything might be eventual, but to me everything is seasonal. Different times of the year call for different music, decorations, food, and drinks. The beer I was drinking in July is far different from the beer I drink in October. The wallflowers (Bath and Bodyworks) that are plugged in around my house are far different today than they were a month ago. Fall/Winter are, without a doubt, my favorite time of year. I love the smell of coffee or
