My Little Angel Fish
My son recently completed his first swim class, called Angel Fish I, which was eight sessions at one of the local community centers. The teachers were great, especially the main teacher, Ryan. He was very comfortable with Michael and got a lot out of him. The only thing that Michael was too scared to do was jump in the pool, and Ryan ended up jumping in the pool holding Michael, which was so sweet of him.
Healing Prayer on the Go
First of all, to break down the title, “healing prayer” in this case refers to inner healing, not physical, and “on the go” refers to in my car on the way to work this morning.
I have been feeling tired. I get so frustrated that I am still dealing with depression, even after years of medication and therapy and prayer. I am just tired of being sad.

Potty Training Your Special Needs Child
As any mother of young children can attest, there are lots of theories about approaching potty training, and there are usually as many people willing to offer their suggestions on the “right way” to accomplish the goal.
But, just as with any other area of parenting, success comes down to what is right for each individual child and family. This is even more true when dealing with a child who has special needs. A child with a disability may have physical, mental or communication challenges that make it difficult to know when to start the training, what method to use and even how to know if you are making progress.

Ah, a blank page.
Sometimes a good thing, at other times not so good.
No matter how many times I think it doesn’t really matter if I write down all the thoughts swirling through my head, I just can’t let go of the idea that it is important to do it. Things I read spark connections and ideas that I want to delve into, but then I get sidetracked by daily life and forget about them.
This weekend I attended an open house for some friends who just moved into their first home. They are also very close to becoming foster parents, and it was wonderful to see how God has blessed them with a place of their own.
