A Very Very Large Piece Of Humble Pie
As far as pie goes, if its not pumpkin pie I can live without it. If I do eat pie, the juicier and sweeter it is the better, add ice cream and it’ll get eaten. Toward the bottom of the pie charts is mincemeat pie, but on the very bottom and the most unpalatable is ‘humble pie’. This last hunting trip I got served up a many multi portion of it and its still causing a lot of indigestion.
Theres a turkey under that can and it’s fixing to be our Sunday dinner. Sue does a great job on Mr. Turkey every year.
Video of Sue’s Backyard Deer Hunt
I was fortunate to get some nice footage of this deer. He was feeding along the ditch bank and I watched him come closer … until I realized he was going to give me an opportunity!… I had to just set the camera to one side and concentrate on making the shot. You can hear the shot on the camera! One thing I enjoyed was all the other critters I saw in the mornings and evenings I sat by the fenceline. I saw coyotes, Lots of quail, a large flock of pheasants, and even a vulture!

It makes for a long lunch but it is possible to get out to the river, fish a lit

Hunting season is in full swing in most states now, some of us bowhunting while others are gun hunting but either way it is an incredible time of year to be in the woods! This month we are going to finally get into some Do It Yourself bow tuning items that are common on today’s shorter, faster compounds.
The string loop is one of the most important accessories on your bow. The purpose of the loop is twofold: first it allows you to not torque the string and second it keeps the wear and tear off your center serving on your string which will increase your string life. There are several meth
Two Wheel’n After Elk
Idaho closes many of the old logging roads during Rifle Elk season. This has always seemed like a good thing to us in the past… but with my Dad approaching 80, and having a leg that had suffered a severe compound break in 2003, stints put in after a heart attack in 2005, breaking the same leg again just this last spring, and arthritis topping everything off, we realized it would make things nearly impossible for him to hunt in the kind of country he had always loved. We had been racking our brain for weeks, trying to come up with some method to get my dad up in the mountains for an Elk hunt. We realized that it wouldn’t be comfortable for dad to try riding horseback…
