I’ve gotten tired of reading canned press releases using flowery language to play up bands, when really the person writing it has no interest in their music other than seeing their bottom line increase. People don’t learn things from press releases! If you’re like me, you want to connect with a band on a personal level. You don’t want to get really into their music, and then when you watch them in an interview after their egos have inflated, they’ve become total sell-out deuch-bags. A band should never be so full of itself that it can’t talk one-on-one with the people who got it to where it is: its fans. So I’m taking matters into my own hands. I’m writing the bands. I’m interviewing them. And if they write me back, I will post them on my site. So check back often folks, I may be on to something here. That is, unless, they think I’m a total stalker trying to find out their addresses. But we all know that’s not the case! Because although I can’t play an instrument to save my life, I honestly love what music does for my soul.
