Evil Thoughts
“If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?”—Alexander SolzhenitsynSo what of evil? All characters have it. It is an overt, ostentatious act, or is it the intent behind a patient mask? Or both? Mankind posses the qualities for any insidious act, and such acts always fall to the eye of the beholder. We condemn each other in our “evil”, and judge one another from a stance of subjugated impunity.
