Giving thanks for it all
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day here in the US.  It’s a day of family and parades and pie, football and friends and laughing.  If we’re lucky we get to spend it with people we love.  If we’re really lucky, we get to spend it with family we love.  This year I’m really lucky. My parents came south again this year, along with baby brother (The fact that baby brother has been old enough to go hang at the sports bar with the other football-obsessed men for several years does not not mean I have to stop calling him baby) and baby sister (who hadn’t been a baby for almost a decade when baby brother was born) and her awesome husband.  My in-laws and a cous
The Interview with Death

Anyway, when that cute waiter with the front door keys in his pocket and that ginormous
Green Eyes
Earlier this year I started a new feature on my web site: a collection of short short stories in video form called Ward Theater. The next one is scheduled to be posted December 1, but in honor of the season, I thought I'd give Beyond the Veil readers an exclusive first peak at "Green Eyes". Enjoy!
Philcon!
This weekend is Philcon, the Philadelphia SF/F convention. It's the only con I attend all year; not by choice but by pocketbook. I always say I'm going to make it to Balticon, but never seem to have the cash to do it. This year I had to buy a car.Anyway, if you're in the Philly/South Jersey area (the con is actually in Cherry Hill, NJ, which is much more convenient for me!), stop on by. I'll be in the Dealer's room, in the Children's room, and at the following panels:Fri 5:00 PM in Plaza VI (Six) (1 hour)BOOK VS. MOVIE - YA EDITION (205)[Panelists: Deb Lieven (mod), Christine Norris, Greg Fishbone]"H
