Digitizing treasures from the National Museum of Iraq
I recently read an article in the Guardian where Google announced they plan to digitize 14,000 items from the National Museum of Iraq. Google explains that this project aims at introducing to the world many of the cultural artifact that shaped the beginning of civilization, many of which play a significant role in the three Abrahamic religions.

Sister Libraries for Children’s and Young Adult’s Reading
IFLA has just launched “Sister Libraries for Children’s and Young Adult’s Reading,” a new project to bring together libraries and librarians focused on children and young adults in order to share ideas, experiences, collaborate and develop joint programs.
The project is open to a variety of participants, including public libraries, school libraries, and organizations working with libraries. There is no obligation to be a member of IFLA to participate.
