Inspiration Pt. II
After watching these videos...multiple times, I've come to the conclusion that this man is absolutely insane in his methods and inspires me to be more intense and direct with my training. His goal is to compete in a raw powerlifting meet in January of 2010 and aims to become stronger than anyone else in the raw powerlifting community at 242. Hopefully he stays at 242 since Stan Efferding is the king of the 275 raw class. His squatting is amazing, instead of the typical wide power stance, he does a high-bar stance, which is my preferred stance. I'm not too partial to the wide stance because I find it very uncomfortable and its only purpose is to move
Destiny, or is it?
Personally, I don't believe in destiny or that things can only go one way. I think that people, from the day they are born, are meant to do something specific. Most people don't find out what it is because they are so wrapped up in everyone's business or trying to accomplish something that they see is the best thing for them, but miss out on what they are truly meant for. So I've decided that within the next three weeks I'll either purchase weightlifting equipment or go train at a gym.My GoalsSquat: 315Bench: 245Deadlift: 385Overhead Press: 165Clean and Jerk: 205Snatch: 155I plan on hitting these goals within 6 months of constant training. Goals
One of the best ways to accomplish things in life is to set goals. A majority of people do this, but they really don't understand how to set them or keep track of these goals. Most people set mental goals, which they keep to themselves and don't make any real effort to achieve them. The key to reaching these goals and reaping the benefits of achieving them is to write them down or record them somehow. It could be in your PDA or planner, on your phone, written on a sticky note placed on your fridge or mirror. Put them in a place where you will see it at least once a day, preferably in the morning to set your mind to take full advantage of your day and fit achieving this goal into
