Boot Camp Suicides
This was our Friday the 13th workout.
One group did KB swing suicides and the other group did Burpee suicides. Each group did about 5 minutes before resting and switching.
Second set was a walking KB see-saw press while the other group did Squat Thrust Broad Jumps to the last cone. Again they went about 5 minutes before resting and switching.
Of course they will tell you that the sets were much longer. I beg to differ; I had the timer set on my iphone. Ok, I admit, a couple of times I accidentally pressed pause.

It’s a Wrap!
We are wrapping up our last week of boot camp for this session. Even though I have been doing boot camps for the past 4 years, I am still amazed at the results people are getting in such a short time.
This past 4 weeks has been no exception. I know there are a lot more success stories this month, but not everyone told me. The ones I’ve heard are unbelievable. Just in the MWF 5:30 am class. Collins lost 12 pounds (by the end of the 3rd week). Latitia lost a couple of sizes and Sherrell lost 7 pounds. In the 5:30 pm class; Bruce lost 9.5 pounds in the past 4 weeks.
In our Crawfordville group; Frances lost 22 inches and several sizes in the last 8 weeks!

Halloween Horror Nights
To quote one of our morning boot campers, “The devil wears Umbros”. I met everyone this morning in my devil costume complete with blinking horns that I bought at my last AC/DC concert. They knew right away this was going to be HELL.
After a warm up we did mini workouts.
1. A Kettlebell Deadlift, Swing ladder just to get their hearts racing and glutes firing.
2. 15/15 swings for 15 sets
3. Rows and Push ups on the KB
4. 10 Jacks and 5 Burpees every minute on the minute for a long time
5. A big lap with the KB in the rack
I don’t know if what I heard was screeches of delight or horror.

October Boot Camp
I know I said I was going to blog on a more regular basis but so far that is not going so well. I’m just a blog-loser.
We are wrapping up our 2nd week of boot camp. We have had more new people sign up this month than we have in a long time. Our numbers are higher than they have been in a few months and that is with cutting out our T/TH 5:30 am class. We are beyond happy right now. We love all of our new people. They are working hard and having fun. At least it looks that way. Maybe those aren’t tears of joy after all.
Our new building is coming along and the word is that is might be ready next week. This really is a dream come true for Mike and I. As many of you
Run, Bike, Swing for a Cure
On Saturday, Oct. 24th we did our first ever, Run, Bike, Swing for a Cure workout. I don’t think this will be our last.
The charity we chose is the Susan Ewing Walker Breast Health Center at TMH. I wanted to give to a local Breast Cancer charity this year. The RBS workout was the last of 4 fundraisers we did for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Mike and Ricky graciously donated all of their profits for 2 Saturday morning boot camps and we donated $10.00 of every boot camp registration for this month. We had a huge number of sign ups this month which helped bring our total donation to over $2,000.00. Not bad for a small business.
