An open blog featuring the best poetry by unknown writers. I know there are a lot of blogs out there, but my aim is to give unknown and/or unpublished writers the opportunity to see their work in print online. I want anything original; no limitations on style or form except that I will not publish religious work or anything in poor taste. Think Bob Dylan meets Robert Frost meets meets Sylvia Plath…in other words, be original, shock us, make us think, leave us impressed and wanting more!
We are not currently reading submissions. Please check back as we intend to begin reading again later this year. In the meantime, please enjoy the poems that we have been lucky enough to archive on our site.
I didn’t kill myself when things went wrong I didn’t turn to drugs or teaching I tried to sleep but when I couldn’t sleep I learned to write I learned to write what might be read on nights like this by one like me -Leonard Cohen *Copyright 1993 by Leonard Cohen and Stranger
