| Description: | I'm a twenty-three year old female who was born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in Long Island, NY but I love the city. Go Yankees!!!! ___________________________________________________ I just ended a year working for a college ministry that I love very much. It is through the family I found there that I became a Christian and with their support, love, and example I'm learning how to grow closer to him everyday. God is doing amazing things in my life and I can't imagine not having him beside me. ____________________________________________________ If I accomplish anything in my life it will be that I was a light to the world. My heart was created to serve people and love them. I want people to realize that God doesn't rest between the pages of some dusty bible anymore than he is confined within the four walls of a church. You can find him there but he is soooo much more than that. If people recognize Jesus in me without me ever having to say a word then i've truly succeeded. ____________________________________________________ I am embarking on a new adventure in my life! I recently accepted a job offer with a non-profit. My new career is as a Congregation-based Community Organizer. It's okay, no one has heard of it before but if it was good enough for Obama than it's good enough for me ;) ____________________________________________________ I work with interfaith groups (Jewish, Christian, Muslim etc...)to address issues of injustice in their communities. I LOVE it!! I've never worked this hard or been this challenged but it is very rewarding. ____________________________________________________ Oh..and I'm a crazy, hippie liberal chick sharing a body with a Christian. it can happen ;) |
