Ellen Degeneres Starts New “Russian Roulette” Themed Game “Know or Go”
If you’ve been a long time reader you’re probably well aware that one of my favorite games was the unfortunately short lived GSN original Russian Roulette (which I’d still love to see some network pick up a big money version of, and I think it would do pretty well, but I digress).  Ellen Degeneres often plays game shows on her talk show, giving prizes away to audience members.  Her newest one should have many people happy.  It’s really a huge Russian Roulette throwback called Know or Go.  It follows the basic structure of the game show’s end game Killer Questions, where you have to answer a series of questions to stay alive.  Miss one
Regis Philbin Guest Hosts “Millionaire” Next Week, November 30th
All fans of Regis Philbin can rejoyce!  The original host of Who Wants to be a Millionaire will be guest hosting the daytime syndicated edition starting next week, November 30th, around the country (check your local listings).  It’s the first time he’s ever hosted the daytime edition and the first time since August he’s sat in the host’s chair. To add to the fun, LIVE! With Regis and Kelly executive producer Michael Gelman will be the Expert used in the lifeline Ask the Expert next week.  The release says, “Gelman appeared via Skype from his office at LIVE and told contestants that his trivia strengths included history, p
Rich Fields Gone Wild
I’m finally back from New York and a great day on the set of Millionaire (more on that in the coming weeks).  We’ve had this video ready to show you all, though.  As many of you know The Price is Right recently released a new video game, a 2010 edition, and it’s been pretty popular as far as I can tell.  Announcer Rich Fields recently released some promotional videos for the game.  Ever wonder what Rich has to go through to announce as well as he does?  Take a look at the intense training Rich endures to make the show what it is. It features The Incredible Hulk Lou Ferrigno also. It’s a really funny video, so be sure to watch.  We’l
The “I’m Out of Town” Video of the Day
So as the title says I’m out of town today and can’t update until Wednesday.  I’m in New York City doing some hardcore investigative reporting on the season finale of Who Wants to be a Millionaire.  Well, actually I’m just in New York for fun and thought stopping by was a smart move to have a nice story on the end of the season and the evolution of the show.  But no one needs to know.  No one important reads this, right? If something pressing comes up I’m sure one of my faithful elves will cobble together a post while I’m away.  Until then here’s just some really stupid jokes Alan Davies told on what is in my opinion the best
Let’s Make A Deal: Perpetual Motion Marilyn
I know there were some sore feelings that Pyramid didn’t get picked up, and instead Let’s Make A Deal did, but it’s hard to flat out deny that Let’s Make A Deal hasn’t been a really good, really funny, really entertaining show.  It took two or three weeks to find its groove but it’s there and I’m hoping the ratings are equaling the quality of what we’re seeing.  They’ve also already provided one of the most memorable moments of 2009, and one of the most memorable game show bloopers in a very long time.  Here’s advice to all those dressing in costume for Let’s Make A Deal: make sure yo
