Fun Fun Fun Fest ‘09 Was Fun Fun Fun
So Fun Fun Fun Fest 2009 is over, sadly. While I missed Danzig (rain and mud was unbearable for a guy wearing torn-up Vans and carrying a heavy bag full of equipment who had a 15-hour drive ahead of him), I did get to see some other legendary acts (punk progenitors Death, Jesus Lizard, Coalesce). Add that to the “regular” bands who were equally insane (like Les Savy Fav, when frontman Tim Harrington ventured into the crowd

Sorry for the sparse day. I’m in Texas now, still en route to Austin. You’ll have to take this pretty sweet video (and possibly a few others later on) as consolation. Then again, not having to read anything I write for a whole day is like finding a birthday and Christmas present from the tooth fairy stashed in an Easter egg on your doorstep.
