Why yes, that IS a brassiere ... what about it?
Sometimes funny and touching little gifts show up at your doorstep in a UPS box. Sometimes they even have little googly eyes all over them. Such is the case the other day when I was touched and surprised to find that my childhood classmate, Diane, was one of the silent auction winners at a breast cancer benefit and chose to send on the bra she won to me, in recognition of my own struggle with breast cancer. It's titled "Looking For A Cure."
People Worth Admiring
I live in the US, where creepy people are given fame and garner big bucks for pumping out then pimping out large quantities of offspring for cameras. Some, when faced with fewer offspring but an equally craven desire for attention, have to resort to combining their children with mylar and releasing them into the media. It's easy to get disillusioned. But there are so so many other people who don't usually make it into the public eye, nor do they necessarily want to, despite the fact that they are flat out amazing. 2010 - it's on!
I'm baaaack! Thrilled to share the news that I was accepted again onto Dana-Farber's team & w/be running my 2nd Boston Marathon on April 19, 2010 to raise funds in the fight against cancer and celebrate was is now my ELEVENTH year cancer free!
