Birthday #52
Well, I did it-I went and turned 52. I wouldn’t say it was painless. I have no sciatic nerve-actually I do have one and it is KILLING ME. I seem to also have problems staying awake to see 10 o’clock programming. I don’t think that’s entirely an age thing-I’m blaming that on running around after 2 toddlers, 2 pets and lord only knows how many tramodols. Plus, I’ve had a lot of stories to write and YOU try doing that while doing all of the above.However, with all of that said I have some great things happen for this birthday-mainly, I have my beloved whirlpool tub.Oh yes, I had to nearly die of pain and let the project supervisor see me loo

Haircut
Like any “new” mom, I’ve been kind of neglecting my looks lately.After 9 long weeks I finally made the time to get myself a haircut. I also got my said mop colored a nice shade of “Truffle”.I really needed it. My hair is curly and anyone with a short cut will tell you that you look like quite the site if you wait that long to get a trim. Plus I realized I’m a whole lot grayer that I had imagined after not having the time to color my locks in over 3 months.Since taking over parenting duties, I have no right shoulder and my hands have “had it”, plus I no longer have a shower that qualifies as “okay” to mess up and color my hair in. S

Believe it or not-being a 24/7 grandparent is all of the following: fun, rewarding, fascinating and exhausting, oh and heart-tugging.The little guys have been with us a couple of weeks now and we’ve gone to 4 different parks, Costco, Von’s, Henry’s, Fuddruckers and Pete’s burgers, Bed, Bath and Beyond and to the mall for trick-or-treating. We’ve helped welcome our son and future daughter-in-law’s new sheltie to the family, walked Sunshine (that was a site-a 13 year old lab on a leash and two toddlers grabbing onto my legs for about ½ mile) and made chocolate chip cookies.With the help of my sister-I also had the “pleasure” of taking the
