Living Room Before/After
This is the front “formal living room” to Carolina Split with its new hardwood floors. I sometimes refer to it as the “library” because ultimately it will be more of a library with a smaller television and comfortable couch in it…but for the next year or so, it will just be your basic television ce

Flooring Installation Days
Bruce Hardwood and Cork flooring Yesterday was the big day…the start to our hardwood and cork flooring installation. Estimate by Lowe’s to do the job is three days (Wed.-Fri)…I had fantasies of it being done in ONE day because I seem to enjoy setting myself up for disappointment. In my fantasy, t

Bats and Head Injuries…
bat removal leads to head banging afternoon… So Monday was an eventful day here at Carolina Split. We’d called in a humane animal removal service to come in and remove bats (potentially in the attic)… oh..you don’t know the bat story? [skip this paragraph if I told you this already] Well we’re outs

guest post: raining sheep. | sfgirlbybay
guest post: raining sheep. | sfgirlbybay. I really enjoyed this guest post by Raining Sheep on sfgirlbybay.com blog…Her comments on how she’s been through numerous decorative styles and now come around to mid-century modern (with touches of “granny chic” thrown in) was me EXACTLY!
