Obamacare bill passes the House; one GOPer votes yes
The Obama government run health care bill passed in the House today. The final vote? 220 – 215, with 39 Democrats voting no and 1 Republican voting yes. Joe Cao, who replaced William “Cold Cash” Jefferson in Louisiana, was the lone dissenter. Cao has also backed the IMF bailout, the S-CHIP expansion, and the omnibus bill. I guess we really shouldn’t be surprised that he voted for Obamacare, too. He got nothing more than a “commitment from Obama to work together to address the health care issues of Louisiana”.
