What fun to think of my fellow cat writers all bundled up in their winter coats and scarves for the annual conference, this time held in NY. Yes, they'll be arriving in White Plains as of tonight or tomorrow.

We've all seen those warning signs in stores, often placed around fragile and pricey porcelain items. 'You break it, you pay for it!' Shoppers beware.

A (fill in the blank) never forgets
Most people associate elephants with excellent memory skills. They never forget, right? I think cats rank right up there with the pachyderms. Plato and Hobo still remember when I dropped that pizza on the kitchen floor in 2004. Knowing cats shouldn't eat onions, mushrooms or tomato, I tried to scrape the mess off the tile. Plato and Hobo rushed in for some free salami. Twice.
