| Description: | I am trained labor doula through the Childbirth Assistant and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). A labor doula provides to the mother and her family emotional, physical and informational support for pregnancy, labor and birth. I aspire to become a postpartum doula, childbirth educator and breastfeeding counselor. In addition to being a birth professional, I am a practicing attorney. My greatest roles, however, are as wife of eleven years to the greatest man, Michael, and mother to our two children, Madeline (age 4) and Matthew (age 5 months), and our one kitty, Spunky. This blog documents not only my labor doula business, but my journey to becoming a birth professional, birth issues, breastfeeding, parenting, and even some of the challenges and joys I have with my own family and children. |
