My journey started three years ago with a surgical repair of a small inguinal hernia. From there I got an infection (5 days later) which was later identified to be Strep A, which gave me Necrotizing Fasciitis (NF). That disease put me in a coma on life support, put me through quite a few major surgeries, and left me with a colorful array of medical and psychological issues that I never had before. Surviving NF changed my life forever, for the good as well as the difficult. So, I write about it. Lots.
