Cigars Int’l v. Corona Cigars (Declaratory Judgment Action)
A few days ago, I posted the complaint filed by Corona Cigars against Cigars Int’l relating to the trademark “INTENSO”. Below is the action filed by Cigars Int’l against Corona for the same dispute, but in this case Cigars Int’l filed a Declaratory Judgment action about 2 weeks before the Florida action. This is not hot news since these actions have been pending for a few months, but nothing has really happened in the cases yet. Rumor! Johnson and Altadis Settle. Terms are confidential, but agree to “hug it out.”
Wild speculation tonight on the Twitters … that Pete Johnson et al and Altadis have agreed to settle their dispute. While the terms of the rumored settlement are rumored to be confidential, our Cigarlaw.com insiders have learned that the parties have agreed to “hug it out.” The video below demonstrates the two philosophies on how the “hugging” session should proceed.
