Marquis Wants The Mets
The question remains: Do the Mets want him?
The answer is yes. The Mets have always liked him. Last year, they were in talks with the Chicago Cubs to bring him here. Would have been better than signing Oliver Perez.
During the regular season, Jason Marquis made it perfectly to one player on the New York Mets that he wants nothing more than to come here to New York to pitch and not for the Yankees.
As a New York native himself, he would love nothing more. The Mets have spoken to his agent about his chances of moving to the Citi.
Yet you have to wonder how much of a priority is Marquis when you have free agents out there like John Lackey.
A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes
“My dream is to retire with the Mets colors. That’s my dream. That’s what I’m praying for, maybe it will happen, maybe not, but dreams sometimes come true, you know.”
-Edgardo Alfonzo, 13
Dreams. We all have them. They are what keeps us going when we feel like giving up.
I have dreams too. I had a dream back in 2000, a Mets World Championship. I thought it would have come to us. We had the best infield in the majors with Todd Zeile (I like John Olerud), Edgardo Alfonzo, Rey Ordoñez, and Robin Ventura.

Debate It: Walls Low or High?
Here is something I really want all of you to debate on. Homerun-less gave me the idea for this blog when he made this comment:

Homerun-less had a lot to say. So click above to read the full comment.
So I’m going to make my argument.
I, as you all know, wholeheartedly disagree with lowering the fences. The Mets have already stated the walls are not going to be lowered. Smart move!
Backman Goes To Brooklyn
Mike Silva of NYBD.com is reporting Wally Backman is heading to Brooklyn to be the manager of the Cyclones.
While Silva believes it “is part of the Mets apparent plan to inject more Met history into the organization despite there being so little in their stadium”, I believe it is an answer to the fans cries of getting Backman in the organization.
Now, when Backman was originally brought on board to manage in the minors, it was rumored (because I don’t want to be accused of saying something that is not true) to have him seasoned so he c
Ranting and Raving: Racist or Inept?
WARNING: If you are sensitive to the topic of race, I suggest you move on. This blog is not for you. I am not making accusations at all Mets fans. This for a select few. I have no issues with whites, blacks, hispanics or any other race. I am making a relevant point here. Rude and racist comments will not be tolerated. If you have something to say, that is what email is for. I will not tolerate you offending my readers.
Ever since I started to blog, I’ve come across some interesting Mets fans like those that are so obsessed with their team they rely on gimmicks to get noticed by other fans or the front office. There are those
