Description:	Collectively Conscious is a novel I have been working on for the last year or so. I have a great draft completed and should have it done by the end of the year. It's kind of a mixed blessing -- I call it the gift and the curse! The reason I say that is because it is absolutely an autobiographical fiction, and because of that, I have had to relive some pretty painful events from my past. At the same time, I have had the chance to delve into the memory bank for some pretty amazing memories as well. In essence, the story is a reflection on the way Society influences a person's life -- for better or for worse. A large part of the premise is the story of a person overcoming obstacles in order to attain a higher sense of self-identification and spirituality. I will post the first chapter on this blog when I have all the loose ends tied up -- actually, I'm not sure if the bulk of the first chapter is going to stay in the final draft or not. That's what my editor is for! At any rate, it is getting close, and I have to admit that I am kind of sad to see it get to this point -- mostly because I have created it with the memories of my past, and the words on the empty page. I feel like I am sending my baby off to school or something like that.
