Description: My name is Conrad Venti and I am blessed to be in a position to help people build a strong financial foundation. My passion is to educate friends, family, and acquaintances about the importance and benefits of home ownership. Strong Foundation is where I share tips and thoughts about credit, home ownership, and real estate in the Willamette Valley. Look for updates at least three times a week! I absolutely love living in the Willamette Valley - I can't think of a more beautiful place. I am an active member of my community and have lived in Salem for the last 20 years. I was raised in Keizer and graduated from McNary High School. Not wanting to move far from home I attended Western Oregon University. While attending Western I also had the privilege to work at the US Bank Ladd and Bush Branch in downtown Salem. I graduated from WOU with a bachelor's degree in Business Finance. After three years as a banker at Ladd and Bush, I decided to focus solely on real estate lending and joined the team at Landmark Mortgage. During college I married my high school sweetheart and we bought our first house in the Englewood neighborhood of Salem. We now live in West Salem and were blessed with our boy/girl twins in February. We enjoying helping with the high school youth group at Salem Evangelical. I enjoy running and eating, hence my running motto, "I run because I eat". Nearly every day I spend my lunch with friends, family, clients, or business partners at my uncle's restaurant, Venti's Cafe. I also consider myself the promoter or grassroots marketer for Venti's.

In my book this week couldn't get any better. I am more than excited for the Civil War match up this year. The hype in the state of Oregon this week is incredible. I look forward to watching the game next week with anticipation and hope that the Ducks will be making a trip to Pasadena for New Years! We're reaching the one year anniversary of the Treasury's announcement of their plan to begin purchasing Mortgage Backed Securities. On November 26th, 2008 we saw an overnight dro

Veterans Day 2009
I want to send a very big thank you out to all Veterans who have served our country.  We are extremely blessed by our freedom and life would not be the same without each and every one of you.  I appreciate your service to our country and your dedication to the fight for our freedom! Happy Veterans Day!
Homebuyer Tax Credit Extension and Liberation
President Obama signed the Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act of 2009.  The act extended the tax credit for first time homebuyers for contracts written before May 1, 2010.  The sale must fund prior to July 1, 2010.  The act also expanded the tax credit for existing homeowners who have owned and occupied their primary residence for at least 5 of the last 8 years.  Surprisingly this expansion is effective at time of enactment which is today November 6, 2009.  That's a real nice surprise for anybody who is closing in the month of November and fits into that category! Below are two helpful resources for further detail of the act:
