feelin’ like a super hero

here’s the first chemo cap i knit katie – out of misti aplaca chunky. it was done a week or two before we came here and good thing too, because she is sensitive to cold. She now has a second… and I’m working on a third.

Missoula Hat
This child’s colorwork hat, named for the cold place I grew up, features a turned brim, simple colorwork, and a gently pointed top.
Yarn: Worsted weight wool. 80-120 yd [73-110 m] of main color, 30-50yd [28-46 m] of contrasting color.

teamwork
one knitting group that i participate in is from my church. we meet twice a month and it was started by my friend lara who did not know how to knit at the time. for that reason, i got recruited pretty quickly to help with the technical part.
our current focus is on making blankets for all of the new babies in the church to be given to them on the day of their baptisms. there were 4 born this
