Vauxhall to Increase Production at Ellesmere
Vauxhall today have announced a major increase in the production levels at Ellesmere, which is key maufacturere of the New Astra Sport. An increase in demand for the vehicles has meant that an additional 3rd daily shift is proposed from 2011, and that no redundancies are no anticipated.
This is great news for Ellesemere and its workers, particularly as only a few weeks ago the proposed break up of GM threatened over 6000 jobs.
