Gov. Perdue has issued a state of emergency for 17 Georgia Counties that were affected by the heavy rain and severe weather.  Although these counties have not been declared disaster areas as of yet we are aware that they have been hard hit by excessive flooding.  The counties affected are as follows:   Carroll, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, Crawford, DeKalb, Douglas, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Newton, Paulding, Rockdale, Stephens, and Walker counties.     Due to the flooding and water damages, lenders will be requiring final inspections on properties that are closing and had been appraised prior to the declaration.
