Can Dallas Leave December Woes Behind Them?
To say the Cowboys haven’t fared well in December in recent years might be a drastic understatement. In fact the Cowboys have not fared well in December for nearly 14 years now. Since 1996 the Cowboys have only had 2 winning Decembers, the year just mentioned and 2001 where they went 3 and 2. This year the Cowboys seem to know and understand that they still have a lot to prove and it’s going to really start next week against the Giants, but this year’s December doesn’t promise to be an easy one.
The Cowboys have been up and down this season against fringe teams, when the Chiefs needed a win to keep their season alive the Cowboys had to take the ga
Jones Warns Cowboys Not To Be Smug After 8-3 Start
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones doesn’t want his team to get overconfident despite their 8-3 start to the season. Dallas is all alone in first place in the NFC East. “This is a time when there shouldn’t be anybody smug, shouldn’t be anybody feeling full of themselves by where we are,” Jones said. “We should really sit down here and see because we may not, on an individual basis, ever get to be in a spot like this again. Austin finished the game with 7 receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown.
The Raiders came in on a high after upsetting the Cincinnati Bengals at hom
Cowboys No Stranger To 2 Games In 5 Days
During a regular week in the NFL, most teams follow a regular schedule in their preparation and work for the games coming up (Monday film, Tuesday off, Wednesday – Friday practice, travel on Saturday). This week is different for 6 NFL teams who will get the pleasure of playing on Thanksgiving Day.
Here in Dallas, the Cowboys are no stranger when it comes to the holiday games. Dallas has played in 41 Thanksgiving games, going 26 – 14 in those games with one tie coming b
Late Romo Drive Helps Cowboys Nip Redskins 7-6
With the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins, you have two teams going in two totally different directions. With the Cowboys, you have a team that is like the little girl with the curl; when they’re good, they’re very good. When they’re bad, well…I think you get the gist of this. Meanwhile, with the Redskins, you pretty much know what to expect: a team that is, to put it mildly, offensively-challenged. Having said that,
