Thankful
I’m thankful you’re reading this even though I have all but abandoned this site for greener pastures. I’m thankful I have greener pastures at my disposal, even if they are currently hampering my writing here. I’m thankful for the hope that in a month or so, Crazybananas will be once again a place I visit daily. I’m thankful Trent decided to let us take a road trip this Thanksgiving instead of battling the awful holiday airports. I’m thankful he is the best gift giver, and got Sirius/XM for my car for my birthday this year, so we’ll have plenty of tunes to choose from during our 9+ hour excursion. Although the inactivity on this site may make it seem like we’ve dropped off the face of the earth, it is truly the opposite. We’ve had so much going on around here I just haven’t had time to write about any of it. Until my work slows down I may be continually absent from the world of Crazybananas, but today I’m taking a break from real-life programming to share some photos of our Halloween, before it’s Christmas and I decide backtracking would just be silly. This year Lucy went as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, as every Kansas girl is forced to do at some point in their youth. She skipped around singing about the yellow brick road and the wonderful Wiza

Uninspired
Maybe it’s the change in the seasons. The blue skies of summer quickly transforming to grey, the leaves turning from green to red to brown, then falling to the ground. The air brisker, the wind stronger, the frost on the car windows in the morning. I don’t really know. But I have been so uninspired lately. I’m having a hard time reflecting, finding the beauty all around me, even though I know it’s there. I’m happy, I just don’t feel like writing about that happiness, putting it all out there for everyone to see. I’m feeling fairly content, but I have found myself taking more mental pictures, as opposed to physical ones.

This here website has been up and running for OVER FIVE YEARS now. Please, just take a moment to let that one sink in. Other than my husband, I’ve never even had a relationship last longer than three years, let alone five. And we all know what’s happened to most of my hobbies (oh, shut up, I’m very important and busy) that have fallen by the wayside. Sometimes I look back at this site and can’t believe how much has changed in my life. I mean, back when we started this site, I didn’t know anyone who had a blog, and now I read tons of them regularly. Other bloggers have taught me how to take photos, ho
