All Dolled Up In 2012
Its a brand new year, holding lots of promise of work to do and share; and I’m looking forward to finishing many of my projects that have been in the works for a while and to starting new ones as well. I’ll be making new dolls, necklaces, and wall art with the ceramic and [...]

Petal To The Metal
I’m enjoying my Metal/Jewelry III class quite a bit and improving my skills at sawing, shaping and soldering. Slowly I get more practice and improve! This project involved stone cutting as well, and let me tell you –petrified wood is HARD and tough to drill! I used bronze and copper to shape flower

Miniature Mask Swap 2011
Whew! In putting up the slide show of the miniature polymer clay masks from the 2011 annual swap, I realized that it keeps getting bigger and bigger…and I still have a dozen images to ad, plus names to attach to the images. So I made a page just for the mini-masks. There were 33 [...]

Miniature Mask Swap 2011
The 2011 miniature mask swap has come and gone–all 33 participating artists’ masks arrived in boxes or bags, were sorted out (thank you Laura and Margie for all your help!), bagged in nine grouped sets of ten , and mailed out by my trusty shipping and receiving expert (AKA Bryan, or “Mr. Sarajane’s

Dress Up Fun Faces
Previously I posted about the two millefiore face canes that I just made using Kato polyclay. I spent a couple of days playing “dress up” to create Victorian style ladies, dancehall girls and some honkytonk angels (as well as miniature masks for the upcoming swap and more lentil beads–its been a ver

New Faces For Spring
I’m in polymer clay mode this May, making lots of new beads and pins and faces–both in cabochon form and canes. I’ve made face canes before, but only using Fimo and Premo brands of polymer clay. Here’s a picture of some of the ones I’ve made throughout the years. I dress them up using [...]

Hot Fun!
During the fall, winter and spring months, I get to stay warm and toasty at school–having the ceramics kilns running and getting up over 1800 degrees insures that the art room stays cozy many days! Now that the spring semester at school is over, I’ve brought my load of goodies home and taken a [...
