Prayers Delivered On Second Try
The second time was the charm for a group of religious leaders. After being unable to deliver hundreds of handwritten prayers to U.S. Sen. Joseph Lieberman's Stamford home, they showed up at his Hartford office Tuesday and attempted to deliver the prayers again.

Judge Orders Firefighter Promotions
A federal judge Tuesday ordered the City of New Haven to promote Frank Ricci and 13 fellow firefighters, ending a years-long freeze on advancement on the city's fire force. Judge Janet Bond Arterton issued the order in U.S. District Court in New Haven on Tuesday. She issued a judgment finding that the city violated a group of mostly white firefighters' civil rights when it tossed out a 2003 promotional test. Click here

Caligiuri Drops Senate Bid, Jumps In House Race
As expected, state Senator Sam Caligiuri officially switched campaigns Tuesday afternoon and decided to drop his bid for the U.S. Senate and instead run against U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy in Connecticut's Fifth Congressional District. "I have been deeply humbled by the outpouring of people who have urged me to run for Congress in the Fifth District and for the many citizens throughout Connecticut who have encouraged me to run for Governor," Caligiuri said in a statement.
