a vet for a pet
Many of you know that my old cat is diabetic. At the moment, she is getting low on insulin. Very low. She has a day’s supply left. Two at the most. So today, we went to the vet to get some more. We recently changed vets because since we moved house, I felt that she’s too old to travel the distance and a closer vet would stress her less. She’s nearly 15 years old and the focus is to make her as comfortable as possible. When I first contacted the surgery, I asked them if they were comfortable taking her on as a patient and asked them if there were going to be any problems supplying her insulin. Some psycho keeps calling my office wanting to lodge a complaint with the manager that someone was rude to her.  She has made about 5 calls already. That would have been me. I took the call. It was an enquiry for a price. She was told the price, she said it was too much and would look elsewhere. I said, “that’s fine, thank you for your call” and hung up. Apparently that’s not good enough. What else are we supposed to do? Chat? What are the obligations to someone that is not bringing any income to the business, has no cause for complaint and is not a client or ever likely to be?
