Kerri is a disaster. She earned this designation due to her tendency to break things, walk into walls, trip over her own feet and so forth. She is, however, surprisingly adept when it comes to crafting. (Except for when she runs over her fingers with her sewing machine). She is an INTJ who is in school for textile design and is teaching herself French on the side. She has recently developed a slight obsession with scarves--someone told her they make her outfits look classy; she actually wears them simply because they double as a bib. |

Hold time.
Recently, I had a conversation with a friend about how sometimes you just need a little more analog in your life. Things can be too digital. Too hectic. So. I've put together a series of beautiful, analog clocks for you to admire. Clockwise, from top right: Cuckoo Clock by Tobias Reischle
Work, Schoolwork, and The Workroom
One of the latest things that's robbing me of sleep that I've been busy with is Sheridan's textile sale. Every year the second year class does fundraising for the third year grad show; usually they sell hand crafted goodies. This year we're having it at The Workroom in Toronto. Friday. Tomorrow. Or, not the imagery I used, at least. But lately I've been feeling somewhat out-of-sorts overall...maybe it's because I'm working a lot and just don't have haven't made the time for more of my own projects, or that I haven't gone out jogging in over a month, or maybe it's just the change in season that's throwing me off.
When I was a little bit younger, the strain I was under could make me cry
Things are ridiculously stressful right now. Granted, I think I bring a lot of it on myself; I find that I thrive under pressure. But still. I know that people feel my program is super lax; I mean, my homework often consists of making collages. I guess it's stressful in a different way than you guys out there writing your thesis and such. This week I've got to finish an essay for textile history, a collection of six surface designs, a project in which I cast six different materials into a plaster mould I made with my friend Annette, a lovely talented lady in ceramic design (so far I've done paper pulp and chocola
