A Prayer for Honey, Please
Our little Quaker Parrot, Honey, is very, very, very sick.My Mom had to rush her to the vet on Sunday morning, and we found out she has a very bad liver problem and her blood cells are not good either. So, I just wanted to ask all of my friends to please say a wonderful prayer (or just cross your paws) and help us to try to think Honey well. This is what our friend Theresa sent to us this morning:"God of healing, please comfort and strengthen Honey Bird during her illness. Ease her fear and pain, and guide the vet and all caring for her, that she may recover fully. Comfort us, too, God, that we may better care for Ho
Safe Halloween for Furry Frankensteins
Hi EveryoneOur friends at Best Friends Animal Society in Utah, have a partner in First Home Forever Home and this is a wonderful place where we can fufill Best Friends' Mission to bring about a time when there are NO MORE HOMELESS PETS. I can't imagine being homeless. Remember that time I got lost in the woods for two and a half hours? Remember how scared I told you I was? What if I didn't have a home and a family? Oh my gosh. That's an awful thought.
At The Vet's Office
Yesterday, today and tomorrow will all be spent at various vet's, and NOT having a good time, either. I'm sad.Yesterday our Honey Bird (she is a Quaker Parrot in case you are forgetting), got really, really sick with what we think might be a bad cold, and so my Mom rushed her up to Blue Ridge Vet (thank Goodness they are open 24/7), and she is still there. Mom and Lydia will be going up in a little while to visit her and see if it might be safe for her to come home to us. So please, say a prayer for Honey.George is very, very, very lonely without her in the cage next to him.And then -- this morning, our black beast,
Lily Bug
I haven't been blogging much about our Lily of The Valley..... or Lily Bug as we call her. It's not that I don't love her, cause I do, but she spends a lot of time practicing up to be a couch potato and I guess that is pretty hard work, cause she doesn't come over to the office very often to say hello. It's Fall now, and the weather is cooler, so maybe she will be able to spend more time outside with us. Or not. Anyway. Here's our Lily in the Leaves. She looks a litt
The Gift
My Sister is home from her travels and we are so glad to have her back. It's nice to go traveling, but it's better to be home, that's what my Mom says. I think that is why my Mom likes to wear her Ruby Slippers...... cause there is no place like home!Anyway, my Sis brought us some cool presents, and Mom is wearing her present today. It is a new shirt, straight from Best Friends and it is the best shirt we have seen to honor all of the brave Vicktory Dogs. Here is the front: See all the little
