Dandelion Ink
Share a personal story or a fictional story by writing it down to be read by others and the story spreads like dandelion seedlings. Floating off in all directions they plant hope, clarity and understanding in people all over. This is what I love about writing and what I love to be a part of. Hopefully this site will help this happen in your life. There are plenty of links to sites and organizations that help foster and train in how to find and tell a story effectively as well as offer strategies to get it out to other people. I have been a writer for longer than I had the confidence to admit. I can remember writing creatively as far back as 6th grade. It wasn’t til the age of 25 that I was able to solidly decide to be a writer. Now a year and a half later I write short stories, poetry and blog posts on this site. |

Today in 1933 Judge John Woolsey made a decision to allow James Joyces, then obscene novel “Ulysses” be published in the United States. That decision was also affirmed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Free speech is essential to the health of any individual or society. Stifling it is the equivalent of putt
New uses of the internet offer sexual abuse victims, offenders, and families hope
“When a sex offender has access to hundreds of tools, how we can possibly keep up with this explosion is beyond me,” said Leonard Sipes, spokesman for the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency. This Leonard said of an offender who smuggled a cell phone into his cell and used it to connect to the internet from within the facility. As social media devices and web site such as cell phones, myspace and facebook become better and better at connecting people, the risk for unhealthy interactions raises along with the good. There is some good news. The sex offender registry is being applied to social media sites. Sipes said officers are especially worried about so

A story of hope
In between is a tough place to be. There are many people in the world who find themselves in this place. They are not done with the current stage of life they are in but their age does not reflect this. Many systems are built around how old a person is and not based on how developed they are. As a result people are sometimes expected to be at a certain place based on their age. A middle schooler should be able to read a college graduate should have a career. These are expectations which are based on an ideal. But life is unfortunately not ideal. Some people take longer to mature than others for any number of factors. A person who grew up with poor early role models end up behi
