And another one....
This one is done on 5"x5" claybord. The poppy and stem are done with tissue paper and pastels. There's some pumice gel and fiber paste in there too.
More acrylic encaustic...
This is another acrylic encaustic. The photograph that is imprinted in the medium is from a black and white one my sister, Roberta Fair, took. The color has all been added using fluid acrylics and acrylic ink, and the grasses are fiber paste and pumice gel.
Acrylic Encaustic?
I really want to mess with encaustic painting someday and am planning on taking a mini-workshop in November at R&F Handmade Paints in Kingston, NY. It sounds like a great deal....the cost includes the use of all the paints. I can't wait to try it out. Just got the fantastic and inspiring book Encaustic Workshop by Patricia Baldwin Seggebrauch to hold me over. :)In the meantime
