Symmetry Soothes the Eye...
Love this bold room... but do you know why it works so well? The symmetry. Even though it's a mix of styles... bungalow, modern, traditional, and glamorous and THEN a wild mix of colors and patterns, the 'balance' of everything holds it together and calms the eye.

I feel really bad about not being around lately... the new job has wiped me out both physically and mentally. I am hoping to finally get into the blogging groove next week, but until then I will share my newest love with you...I was bored the other night and decided to browse Craigslist for 'mid century modern' pieces. You can always find some great beauties at reasonable prices there. Well....I came across this little credenza and immediately decided I needed it. The geometric design is RIGHT up my alley, and we also have the perfect spot for it....a great entry console. My first thought was to paint it, inspired by some favorite blogs
