Early Bird by Fabian von Spreckelsen
Fabian von Spreckelsen’s fascination with the way birds meet and sit on high voltage lines inspired these whimsical clothespins for hanging laundry. They might or might not get you the tiniest bit delighted when you’re hanging clothes. http://www.first-aid-design.com [via Designspotter] ©2009 Design Milk
PaperBoy Wallpaper
PaperBoy Wallpaper recently launched at 100% Design and its collection is aimed at the neglected boys market. I really like the hand puppet one! http://www.paperboywallpaper.co.uk ©2009 Design Milk | Posted by Jaime in Home Furnishings |
Next Large Sofa
This sofa sits on steel enforced wood legs, an environmentally sustainable kiln-dried hardwood frame, and is covered with curved high-resilience polyurethane foam on the seats and backs. http://www.iqmatics.com [via DesignerPages] ©2009 Design Milk | Posted by
OTTA Table
The OTTA table, designed by Finne Architects, utilizes an irregular blackened steel frame with alternating panels of clear and satin etch Starphire low-iron glass. The table explores the idea of abstracting natural forms and fabricating them in a pure industrial material.
New York Town House by Alexander Gorlin Architects
The firm was invited to modernize and add an additional top floor to a rare 1950’s glass-fronted, two-story family townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. A large, open living area on the first floor leads through to a kitchen overlooking the rear garden. Cantilevered stairs, flooded by daylight from a large skylight, lead to the parents’ master bedroom and two children’s rooms on the second floor, and continue to a media room and two offices on the top floor.
