Why dinnercraft? Because we’re not in our twenties anymore. Because we’ve recently or are about to become homeowners and parents. Because we got to be somewhat irresponsible far longer than is perhaps appropriate. Our parents and grandparents were fighting wars, having babies and keeping house while we were drinking, hooking up and finding ourselves. Thirty used to be middle-aged. Now we’re just getting it sorted. Not cobbling together from leftover Chinese food and pita pockets, but actually caring to craft pleasing, healthy dinners. Learning how to make a house a home is an art. It matters. It’s what we care about now and we want to do it with wit and charm. |

Monday Mashup: Green Goddess Gulf Shrimp Soup
Is it fair to say we’re all trying to eat light in the following few days leading up to Thanksgiving? Here’s my first unsolicited suggestion. We do have access to a few luxuries way down here in Mexico. Liverpool is an oasis of cool, expen
This Thanksgiving: White Castle Turkey Stuffing

More genius from the food scientists at White Castle: Turkey Stuffing made from 10 torn up “Slyders.” It’s a good thing there aren’t any White Castles near me…I would order twenty, and stuff myself with the other
Lunch Break(down): White Bean and Spinach Soup
Working from home has its merits (working without pants) and its uglier aspects (when invited to leave said home for a pants-mandatory function, you might be horrified to discover that said pants are not quite as roomy as they were before your downward spiral into 4 o’clock beers and hourly trips to see what’s new in the pantry. BTW, it’s Doritos). But cooking a healthy, sati
Sriracha-Glazed “Buffalo” Wings
Over the weekend, we tried this twist on Buffalo chicken wings…the spicy, saucy, swabbed in bleu cheese staple found throughout the Northeast, but with an Asian twist. Rather than use my tried-and-true “stick of butter melted in a bottle of Frank’s Red Hot” sauce, we wanted to try something a little different. Behold, the
