Runyan is a Charger
Jon Runyan is a Charger. He flew to San Diego and worked out for the Chargers. The offensive line depth on the Chargers is being tested and they looked to the veteran to help out. Runyan is a great fit for a San Diego team that needs help. I'm sad about this because I love Runyan and seeing him in another color besides midnight green is a little unsettling.
Ikegwuonu is Out. Again
Jack Ikegwuonu is fourth round draft pick. Before tearing his ACL he was thought of as a first round talent. The Eagles took a chance on him and it bombed. I thought he was making progress but what do I know? The Eagles cut him this preseason, then resigned him once injuries built up, and now they cut him again. In favor of signing Geoffrey Pope from the Bengals practice squad. The Eagles have been battling injuries to their secondary all season, and if Sheldon Brown succumbs to his knee and hamstring problems then we are really in trouble. Hopefully we can hold out until Joselio Hanson gets back from his suspension.
Justice Is Locked In.
Starting Tackle Winston Justice has just signed an extension that will keep him in Philadelphia through 2013.  Justice is having an excellent year, starting all 10 games this season for the oft-injured Shawn Andrews.   In this past offseason, his fourth season under offensive line coach Juan Castillo, Justice committed himself to competing for a starting position.  If his play continues to improve, Shawn Andrews may find himself out of a job next season.
Quick Westbrook Update
Multiple sources today report that Andy Reid has given an update on the condition of running back Brian Westbrook. Reid says that Westbrook is out for at least the next three weeks, and they'll "just see how he feels after that". The fact that Westbrook isn't on injured reserve right now says that he could be back this season, but he must be cleared by multiple medical staffs in order for Reid to feel comfortable putting him back on the field. We hope he's alright, and would love to see him back this season, but please make sure he's ok before you do.
Westbrook To Make Full Recovery
Brian Westbrook saw two brain specialists this week in Pittsburgh to evaluate his ability to return to the football field. Those doctors both agreed that Westbrook will make a full recovery. This is amazing news, and I couldn't be happier for Brian as a person and Westbrook as a football player (one of my favorites). However, the Eagles should end his season right away. Concussions are caused (according to WebMD
